Our ZG38 reduction gear is designed to fit in the smallest possible space. With an installation lenght of 190mm and a minimum installation diameter of 284mm, this is a very compact for for example for the Dutch RC Kits Nieuport N.11 Bébé or 33% scale models such as the Sopwith Pup.
The reduction gear is made of high quality materials for a long life. A robust transmission is ensured by the use of two Polyflex v-belts which have been developed by the American company Gates. By using two V-strings it is almost unthinkalbe that both belts fails at the same time. Partly due to the high quality of the V-belts, taking into account the installation and use instructions, optimum use is guaranteed for a long period of time. Should one V-belt fails it is possible to perform a corrct landing without too much effort. Starting with only one V-belt is not possible due to the slip. Replacement of the V-belts is easy to perform.
A speed of approximately 3000 rpm is possible using a 32″x 18″ propeller and a ZG38 equpped with a simple damper. The idle speed will be around 500rpm.
